Dr. Gabriel is a physician and surgeon from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, specialist in Pathology from the Universidad de Antioquia and subspecialist in Oncologic Pathology from the Instituto Nacional de Cancerología / Universidad Pontificia Javeriana in Bogotá. Additionally, he studied Surgical Pathology and Immunohistochemistry at Jackson Memorial Hospital / University of Miami.

His training also includes studies in Dermatopathology at the Froedtert Hospital / Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Likewise, in Soft Tissue Tumors and Bone Pathology, and in Endocrine Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (A.F.I.P.). He also studied Head and Neck Pathology and Thoracic Pathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Gabriel is a dermatopathologist certified by the International Committee and the International Society of Dermatopathology and a prominent national and international speaker on topics related to oncologic pathology and dermatopathology.
