Body Photography Unit and digital monitoring of pigmented lesions

We offer this service to patients and the medical community with an emphasis on the study of pigmented lesions and early detection of melanoma. With us, the doctor will have the study, analysis of the images and a final consultation to make the best decision regarding observing or taking a biopsy of the lesion in the patients.

Service Features

To request a dermatoscopic imaging study of specific lesions or globally, doctors and/or patients must call (+574) 444 3537 or (+57) 305 291 2287 to request an appointment and receive instructions, clarifying that they will attend a medical consultation or a total body photography and digital dermatoscopy study, respectively.

On the day of the examination, the patient must arrive with a referral from the physician, which must state the reasons for referring the patient for this procedure (personal or family history of melanoma, multiple acquired melanocytic nevi, dysplastic nevus syndrome, large or giant congenital melanocytic nevi). The patient must also bring the order authorized to perform the procedure or make payment in cash.

Once the study is completed, the file with the clinical images will be delivered to the patient in digital format. The reading will be carried out by the dermatologist in charge of taking the photos and will be sent by email to the patient and/or referring physician within 10 business days. The report will contain details of the findings of the lesions considered suspicious, along with suggestions on the conduct to be carried out and the subsequent follow-up that the patient should have.
