Dermatologic Oncologic Surgery and Mohs Micrographic Surgery

Comprehensive care for skin cancer

Our dermatologic oncologic surgery and Mohs micrographic surgery unit offers a wide range of specialized surgical services for the treatment of skin cancer, in which the Mohs Surgery program stands out as a national and international reference for patients requiring this treatment.
Mohs Micrographic Surgery is a specialized surgical technique used for the treatment of different forms of skin cancer with the possibility of recurrence or that are located in sites with high risk of functional or aesthetic compromise.

The 2 main advantages of this surgery are the precise delimitation of the tumor and the sparing of healthy tissue.

To achieve these 2 objectives, surgery is performed sequentially, with rigorous evaluation of the excised tissue at the time of surgery and subsequent reconstruction of the defect.
